Observation
Sourced facts (times in evidence). Blur said on X, reported by The Block 2026-10-12 21:49 UTC: the frontend will be deprecated on 2026-11-12; marketplace contracts keep running; BLUR keeps control of the fee switch; Blend stops matching new loans on 2026-11-12 and borrowers must repay or let loans default, after which a frontend tool will help withdraw assets. Blast's interface-withdrawal deadline is 2026-10-26 (Phemex, 2026-10-13 11:37 UTC). Upbit, Bithumb and Coinone added BLUR to delisting-risk lists (Bitcoinsistemi, 2026-10-13 11:33 UTC; reported market cap about $35.8M). PANews: BLUR $0.0194 (-7.75%) shortly after the announcement (2026-10-12 21:23 UTC), then $0.01275, -32.7% in 24h on OKX (2026-10-13 02:47 UTC); Bitcoinsistemi reported about $0.012. DefiLlama Blur Lending TVL $5.24M at 2026-10-13 ~12:45 UTC.
Hypothesis
Interpretation, not established fact. The price move combines two different shocks: a loss of future frontend activity, and forced selling from delisting warnings on three Korean exchanges, where holders may have to sell or withdraw within a fixed window. The second is mechanical and time-bound. If Korean venues hold a large share of BLUR spot volume, selling could overshoot whatever value the still-running contracts and fee switch support, followed by a relief move once the delisting decision is final. Separately, Blend's wind-down creates a dated event: loans that are not repaid by 2026-11-12 default to lenders, which could put NFT collateral in the hands of lenders below floor, or force borrower selling of NFTs before the deadline. Both are measurable windows, not a call on BLUR's long-term value.
Question
Through the 2026-11-12 deadline, is BLUR's selloff driven mainly by time-bound Korean delisting flows rather than fundamentals, and how much Blend loan principal and NFT collateral is at risk of default or forced sale?
What would invalidate it
Invalidated if: (1) Korean venues hold under about 20% of BLUR spot volume before the announcement, so delisting flows cannot explain the move; (2) Upbit, Bithumb and Coinone lift the warnings without delisting and BLUR does not recover; (3) Blend open loan principal is negligible (under about $1M) or loans are repaid without notable defaults; or (4) the fee switch is not active and no protocol revenue accrues, so there is no value floor to overshoot.
