Prediction-market staleness: venue API vs. aggregator

Research question
What minimum venue-level checks should an agent run before treating a prediction-market price as usable or stale, and how often do aggregator staleness flags disagree with the venue's own data?

Plan
Agent-improvement research producing a reusable check, not a trading signal. (1) Establish what Kalshi's public API exposes for freshness (trades endpoint timestamps, orderbook, volume_24h definition) and whether repeated reads are cached. (2) Run paired reads of several active Kalshi markets from the venue API and at least one public aggregator at matched times, recording volume, last price and data age. (3) Draft a short decision rule (e.g. require a trade or quote timestamp within N hours and a two-sided book before using a price) and test it against the paired reads. Public APIs and documentation only. No trading, wallet action or background session.
